Description: The Defender of the realms is like an offensive paladin. He has no heals, but he does have a strong divine shield and personal life regen. He gains several more AOE spells than the general and gets plenty of other improvements. His only real loss of note is the battle formations buff, which reduces his support capabilities to his damage aura and his silence ability.

HOLY THUNDER

Blast into the air causing initial damage nearby, then slams the ground with a holy shockwave, devastating all opponents in the area.

HOLY STORM

A heavenly light shines upon its enemies, dealing massive holy damage to its opponents from above.

  • FORMULA: (250 x ability level) + (1.5x Strength)
  • WAVES: 2
  • MANA COSTS: Levels 1=15mp, 10=250mp, 20=500mp, 30=750mp, 40= 1000mp, 50=1500mp, 60=2000mp, 70=2400mp, 80=2900mp, 90=3200mp, 100=3200mp

Review: Does about the same damage as holy Thunder, but levels to 100. The cooldown is a bit longer than thunder, so that should still take priority. Normally I'd be a bit upset about losing a great passive like strength of the kingdom, but the defender of the realms gets a decent substitute for it in his spellbook skills.

FATALITY

The hero transform into a legendary Titan, granting major health, defense, and damage bonuses as well as spell immunity.

  • FORMULA: Damage (500 x ability level), Armor (2 x ability level), Health (2000 x ability level)
  • MANA COSTS: levels 1=50mp, 10=750mp, 20=1600mp, 30=2600mp, 40=3600mp, 60=3600mp

Review: Twice as strong as Titan form for the same mana cost. Undisputed improvement.

SILENCE OF ANGELS

Stops targets from casting their spells while decreasing their athletics. Deals direct damage to the targets and increases silence duration over time.

  • FORMULA: (500 x ability level) + (2 x strength).
  • DAMAGE TYPE: HERO
  • AOE: 400
  • MANA COSTS: levels 1=20mp, 10=200mp, 20=400mp, 30=600mp, 40=1000mp, 50=1100mp, 60=1300mp, 70=1600mp,80=1800, 90=1900mp,100=2200mp

Review: So we exchanged stormbolt for an AOE that silences, slows, and deals damage. I'd say that's a vast improvement. This has the longest cooldown of your aoes. So you may want to level it last.

ANGELIC WINGS

Angelic wings provide the angel Garicus great abilities of the Legendary Angels of Light. The Angel belonged to what was a high council of angels that have been all but eradicated since the great war.

LEVEL 1

DIVINE SHIELD (level 1)

A shield of pure energy surrounds the hero, protecting it from all damage and spells.

  • Duration: 10 seconds. Cooldown: 70 seconds. Mana Cost: 300mana

Review: This is your panic button, use this to flee from a fight gone wrong or just to dish out some punishment without worrying about your health. Used properly, you can take on some of the toughest bosses by combining this skill with a few others you get later on.

ANGELIC LIGHT

Blasts the target with an angelic energy wave targeting through spell immunity.

  • Damage Formula: (3x Strength)
  • Damage Type: Hero
  • Cooldown: 30 seconds, Mana Cost: 500

Review: similar to most spell immunity busters. Use to deal some damage when bosses put up those annoying green shields.

LEVEL 2:

ANGELIC MIGHT (level 1)

With the strength no mere mortal could possess, the Angel of Light can crush any opponent with ease.

  • PASSIVE: 10% crit x2, Evasion 10%

Review: this is your compensation for losing strength of the kingdom. The evasion isn't as good, but we'll take what we can get.

LEVEL 3:

ANGELIC MIGHT (level 2)

With the strength no mere mortal could possess, the Angel of Light can crush any opponent with ease.

  • PASSIVE: 10% crit x2.5, Evasion 15%

TELEPORTATION

Teleport to allied units and structures anywhere within Brenallia. If teleporting into dungeons or interiors, you must target an allied hero.

  • Cooldown: 45 seconds. Mana Cost: 2250mana

Review: This is just real handy for moving around. especially if you die during a boss fight and your friend is still alive. This initial level has a lengthy cast time that disappears when it upgrades.

  • Duration: 20 seconds. Cooldown: 70 seconds. Mana Cost: 250mana

LEVEL 7:

THE LEGION (level 1)

Summons Angels from the realm of Heaven to protect the Hero and battle against his enemies.

  • Summons: 3 Guardian Angels
  • STATS: 82,500hp, 1000mp, 50 armor, 5251 dmg, 250 range. (Holy armor, Holy Dmg).
  • Abilities: 20% crit x2, Cyclone, Slow, Cleave 10%, Evasion 30%
  • DURATION: Permanent, COOLDOWN: 100seconds, MANA COST: 2000mana

Review: An improvement over knights of the round. The final level gives some exceptionally strong summons.

LEVEL 8:

DIVINE SHIELD (level 4)

A shield of pure energy surrounds the hero, protecting it from all damage and spells.

  • Duration: 10 seconds. Cooldown: 60 seconds. Mana Cost: 300mana

BUG: that's not a typo the duration dropped back down to 10 seconds :/

CLEAVE (level 3)

The hero hits with such force that their damage strikes through to nearby enemies

BUG: As of 6.14a this does like 2500% cleave damage. Kills pretty much everything in 1 hit.

LEVEL 10:

DIVINE SHIELD (level 5)

The master of divine summons the greatest shield known in existence. A shield of pure energy surrounds the hero, protecting it from all damage and spells.

  • Duration: 35 seconds. Cooldown: 90 seconds. Mana Cost: 2500mana

TELEPORTATION MASTERY (upgrade to teleportation)

Instantly teleport to allied units and structures anywhere within Brenallia. If teleporting into dungeons or interiors, you must target an allied hero.

  • Cooldown: 20 seconds. Mana Cost: 2250mana

CLEAVE (level 5)

The hero hits with such force that their damage strikes through to nearby enemies

  • Cleave Damage: 30%

  • DURATION: Permanent, COOLDOWN: 100seconds, MANA COST: 4000mana 

COMMANDER (level 2)

The General has now mastered his powers, he is now one of the finest Generals the Kingdom has ever seen.

  • Bonuses: +2500 Damage, +3500 Strength, +2500 Intelligence, +2500 Agility, +50,000 Max Life

CHAOS OF THUNDER

Use all of the Hero's might to jump and slam the ground in massive holy waves of destruction.
