ELEMENTAL SORCERESS

ROLES: Caster, Burst Damage, AOEs, Passive Buffs

Description: The Sorceress is your typical glass cannon mage. While lacking in HP, she can dish out some serious aoe and single target Damage. Her support capabilities are mostly for self only, but that changes when she evolves. Use song of Magnus to stay alive for the long haul and you can decimate hordes of enemies for fast leveling. The Sorceress has slightly better AOEs than the Arcane mage.

PROS:

  • Permanent summon early on
  • Highest intelligence of any caster
  • Passive Mana Regen

CONS:

  • Low HP
  • Mana intensive.
  • Passives don't affect allies until evolution.

FIREBALL

Conjures a ball of fire that does great damage and stuns non hero units for 2 seconds.

FORMULA: (750 x ability level) +(2x intelligence)

MANA COSTS: Levels 1=25mp, 10=493, 20=1200, 30=2200, 40= 3200, 100=3500

Review: Fireball is one of your bossing skills, It can get kind of expensive mana wise, so you probably want to focus more on aoes at early levels for leveling purposes. You'll still want a couple of points in either fireball or lightning for bosses. After level 40 the mana cost on fireball stays pretty much the same.

FROZEN DEATH

The Sorceress summons the power of ice to her aid exploding ice shards from her body. She will destroy all in her path!

 FORMULA: (500 x ability level) + (intelligence)

MANA COSTS: levels 1=20mp, 10=200mp, 30=600mp, 50=1350mp, 75=2600 100=4000mp

CHANNELING: 2 seconds 

Review: Frozen death is a fun ability. It casts in 2 waves that get progressively further away from your hero. Often enemies will get hit twice by it. It is much cheaper than fireball until the very end and has a faster cooldown. This is a skill you want to spam against mobs for leveling. Bread and butter.

EARTHQUAKE

Tears the Earth apart, dealing massive damage to nearby land units and buildings in three devastating waves.

FORMULA: (1000 x ability level) + (2x intelligence)

MANA COSTS: levels 1=40mp, 10=400mp, 25=1000mp, 50=2250, 75=3500mp

Review: EarthQuake is probably your strongest Aoe attack. Dealing 3 waves of 1000x level in a large targeted area. The only downside is that you have to channel for the full 3 waves. I suggest casting Frozen Death and then EarthQuake. Frozen should be off cooldown shortly after you finish channeling Earthquake. This and Frozen are the main skills you want to level early on.

LIGHTNING

Calling upon the elements of air and the clouds, the sorceress conjures lightning to strike down her foes.

FORMULA: (1000 x ability level) + (strength).

MANA COSTS: levels 1=20mp, 10=488, 20=1000, 25=1300, 50=1800 75=2300 100=3500

Review: Another bossing ability. Lightning does more damage, costs a bit less (until level 100), and has a slightly faster cooldown, but doesn't have the stun. Which one you pick comes down to preference, but you should probably only focus on one early on.

DAEMONIC ELEMENTAL SORCERESS ABILITIES

Using the elements of nature, the sorceress grows her power beyond measure. The sorceress becomes more in touch with nature the higher her skill.

LEVEL 1:

SUMMON COMPANION

Calls upon the Sorceress' small Fire Bird. It burns with flames that can deal great damage to enemies.

STATS: 7000hp, 10 armor, 901 dmg, 600 range. (Elemental armor, Unholy Dmg). 

Duration: Permanent. Cooldown: 180 seconds. Mana Cost: 450mana

Review: The firebird and upgraded Pheonix are just plain awesome. Really strong for when you get them, and have a permanent duration. The Pheonix even gets spell immunity. Just try to keep them alive, because the cooldowns are a bit long.

CHILLING TOUCH

The Elements slowly surround the sorceress and nearby enemies will begin to freeze and take damage.

PASSIVE: 500 Dmg/second

Duration: 5 Hero, 10 Normal

Review: Extra Dot damage and for simply walking in range is always a plus. The final level of this claims that it slows enemies, but it appears to be mistaken, which is ok cause we have frost armor anyway.

LEVEL 2:

ICE SHIELD (level 1)

Hardens targets Skin. Adding 15 Armor.

Duration: 45 seconds. Cooldown: 45 seconds. Mana Cost: 450mana

Review: Extra armor is ok. but at first level it can't be autocast, so it's a bit of a hassle. Later on it turns into frost armor which slows attacks AND has autocast. You should have autocast on all the time. It helps quite a bit.

ESSENCE OF FIRE (level 1)

The sorceress' essence is becoming one with the elements. Her veins fill with elemental fire.

PASSIVE: 10 Mana/second

Review: Extra mana regen is always useful.

LEVEL 3:

ESSENCE OF FIRE (level 2)

The sorceress' essence is becoming one with the elements. Her veins fill with elemental fire.

PASSIVE: 25 Mana/second

CYCLONE

Tosses a target non mechanical unit into the air, rendering it unable to move, attack, or cast spells, and stopping others for attacking or casting on it.

FORMULA: (Agility x3) + (Intelligence x2).

Duration: 5 seconds. Cooldown: 20 seconds. Mana Cost: 150mana

Review: Good for when you need a quick breather from a boss or other strong enemy. Should be enough time to get in a song of magnus for healing.

LEVEL 4:

CHILLING TOUCH (level 2)

The Elements surround the sorceress almost completely and nearby enemies will begin to freeze and take damage by the awesome force of ice.

PASSIVE: 1250 Dmg/second

Duration: 5 Hero, 10 Normal.

ICE SHIELD (level 2)

Creates a frozen shield of ice around the unit, granting increased armor and slowing enemy units.

ARMOR BONUS: 50

Duration: 120 seconds. Cooldown: 30 seconds. Mana Cost: 500mana

ESSENCE OF FIRE (level 3)

The sorceress' essence is becoming one with the elements. Her veins fill with elemental fire.

PASSIVE: 35 Mana/second

PHEONIX BLAST

Sends out the legendary Pheonix to explode on the enemy, dealing massive intelligence damage. This spell can target through spell immunity, dealing hero damage.

FORMULA: (Intelligence x3).

Cooldown: 30 seconds. Mana Cost: 1500mana

Review: decent damage in late game, but high cooldown. It has going for it is that it can hit through spell immunity. So its useful on some of the later bosses or enemies. It does have autocast, so that's kind of cool too.

DIVINE SHIELD (level 1)

A shield of divine energy surrounds the hero, protecting it from all damage for 10 seconds.

Duration: 10 seconds. Cooldown: 60 seconds. Mana Cost: 300mana

Review: Your personal panic button. The elemental sorceress is a bit squishy, so if you get into trouble pop this to give you more time to mow down your enemies, heal with song of magnus, or just run away.

LEVEL 5:

SUMMON LEGENDARY PHEONIX (Summon Companion Upgrade)

Summons the legendary Pheonix, which is said to have enormous powers.

STATS: 65000hp, 60 armor, 2001 dmg, 600 range. (Elemental armor, Elemental Dmg). 

Abilities: Spell Immunity, Resistant Skin, Pheonix Fire

Duration: Permanent. Cooldown: 180 seconds. Mana Cost: 2000mana

TORNADOES

The sorceress summons the elements of air, creating massive tornadoes dealing terrible damage to their victims.

FORMULA: 3 waves of (Intelligence x1.5)

Channeling: 3 seconds. Cooldown: 50 seconds. Mana Cost: 3000mana

Review: This is ok, simply because it's aoe. But still much weaker than your normal spells, and with a longer cooldown.

MANA SHIELD

Activates a magical shield that surrounds the hero. Absorbing damage by sacrificing mana.

PASSIVE: 35 damage per point of mana.

Review: 35 damage per point may sound like a lot, but mana shield doesn't take armor into account, so you may end up taking much more damage to your mana than you would to your health. And once you're out of mana you're a sitting duck. Use your own judgment on when this is worth using.

LEVEL 6:

SUMMON DAEMONIC PHEONIX (Summon Companion Upgrade)

Summon forth the Daemonic Pheonix. The blood of the Pheonix is burning with daemonic cells, causing its power to overlow.

STATS: 220000hp, 70 armor, 5251 dmg, 600 range. (Elemental armor, Elemental Dmg). 

Abilities: Spell Immunity, Resistant Skin, Pheonix Fire, 20% Critical x2, 30% Evasion

Duration: Permanent. Cooldown: 180 seconds. Mana Cost: 2200mana

ICE SHIELD (level 3)

Creates a blizzard around the unit, granting increased armor and slowing enemy units.

ARMOR BONUS: 100

Duration: 120 seconds. Cooldown: 30 seconds. Mana Cost: 600mana

ESSENCE OF FIRE (level 4)

The sorceress' essence is becoming one with the elements. Her veins fill with elemental fire.

PASSIVE: 50 Mana/second

TELEPORTATION

Teleport to allied units and structures anywhere within Brenallia. If teleporting into dungeons or interiors, you must target an allied hero.

Cooldown: 45 seconds. Mana Cost: 2250mana

Review: This is just real handy for moving around. especially if you die during a boss fight and your friend is still alive. This initial level has a lengthy cast time that disappears when it upgrades.

LEVEL 7:

MIGHT OF THE ELEMENTS

Unleashes the power of the elements, dealing massive intelligence damage to nearby units. The spell lasts for 3 waves, each scattering its damage within a huge area

DAMAGE FORMULA: Unknown

Cooldown: 60 seconds.  Mana Cost: 6000 mana.

Review: This seems pretty powerful but I think the damage takes place before the animation finishes. Will have to test more.

DIVINE SHIELD (level 2)

A shield of pure energy surrounds the hero, protecting it from all damage and spells.

Duration: 20 seconds. Cooldown: 70 seconds. Mana Cost: 250mana

LEVEL 8:

CHILLING TOUCH (level 3)

Shards of ice flow in all directions, hurting nearby enemy units and freezing them, causing movement to slow down.

PASSIVE: 2000 Dmg/second

Duration: 5 Hero, 10 Normal.

ESSENCE OF FIRE (level 5)

The sorceress' essence is becoming one with the elements. Her veins fill with elemental fire.

PASSIVE: 75 Mana/second

LEVEL 9:

ICE SHIELD (level 4)

Subzero temperatures surround the hero, granting increased armor and slowing enemy units.

ARMOR BONUS: 200

Duration: 180 seconds. Cooldown: 5 seconds. Mana Cost: 600mana

DIVINE SHIELD (level 3)

A shield of ultimate divine energy capable of stopping all in its path.

Duration: 25 seconds. Cooldown: 90 seconds. Mana Cost: 2000mana

LEVEL 10:

SUMMON PHEONIX OF FIRA (Summon Companion Upgrade)

Summons the ancient guardians of the glorious city. These winged predators will protect you and others with elemental fury.

STATS: 420000hp, 125 armor, 10001 dmg, 600 range. (Elemental armor, Elemental Dmg). 

        Amount Summoned: 2

Abilities: Spell Immunity, Resistant Skin, Pheonix Fire, 20% Critical x2, 30% Evasion

Duration: Permanent. Cooldown: 180 seconds. Mana Cost: 3000mana

ESSENCE OF FIRE (level 6)

The sorceress' essence is becoming one with the elements. Her veins fill with elemental fire.

PASSIVE: 100 Mana/second

TELEPORTATION MASTERY

Instantly teleport to allied units and structures anywhere within Brenallia. If teleporting into dungeons or interiors, you must target an allied hero.

Take a level 400 Sorceress with Love's Tear to Fire Mountain, on the west slope at the fire pit to transform into Pheonix of Gaia.
